SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS SPRING 2025

Hey Seniors! Are you ready to embark on an epic journey to higher education?

The Adams 14 Education Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors from Adams County School District 14 for the institution of their choice. We have scholarships available for vocational schools, community colleges, and four year universities - wherever your dreams are taking you! But wait, there's more! These scholarships aren't just your ordinary one-size-fits-all deal. The Foundation is serving up a variety pack, ranging from one-year to four-year scholarships.

So, seize this chance, future scholars! Your educational destiny awaits, and the Adams 14 Education Foundation is here to support you.

Criteria

Attend Adams City High School or Lester Arnold High School. 

Commitment to academic excellence with a GPA of 2.75 or higher. 

Service to community, church or family and/or school involvement such as student government or athletics – we want to see your impact!

Financial eligibility, check page 3 for specific scholarship opportunities. PELL eligibility could give you scholarship options.

Complete the application and make sure to include items from the list below:

  • Essays 
  • Recommendation letter including academic achievement and service, and how a scholarship would encourage you to pursue your educational goals.  Please email your recommendation letters to lori.young@adams14.org.
  • School transcript.
  • FASFA Report.  We understand that reports are delayed, please provide an estimate if you do not have your report yet.
  • Parental income proof – in form of W-2, 1099, or 1st page of 2022 Federal Tax Return. Please email the parental income proof to lori.young@adams14.org.


Interviews with local community leaders.  We'll be asking about your leadership skills, community service, personal and professional goals, unique qualities, and your commitment to continuing your education - it's your chance to shine! 

Deadline

Scholarship application deadlines will be in the Spring of 2025. If you are a Senior interested in applying for scholarships, please talk to your counselor right away. We want to keep informed throughout the year so you will be prepared. 

Here are some things you can do now:

1. Prepare a list of colleges you'd like to attend and  what you'd like to major in.

2. Create a list of teachers, counselors, community leaders who would write you a letter of recommendation

3. Make your grades a priority. your GPA matters when we are choosing scholarships for students.
