SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS DUE MARCH 11, 2024

General Scholarship

Get ready to embark on an epic journey to higher education with the Adams 14 Education Foundation! The Adams 14 Education Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors from Adams County School District 14 for the institution of their choice, whether you’re eyeing vocational schools, community colleges, or aiming for a four year university – we've got your back!

But wait, there's more! These scholarships aren't just your ordinary one-size-fits-all deal. The Foundation is serving up a variety pack, ranging from one-year to four-year scholarships.

So, seize this chance, future scholars! Your educational destiny awaits, and the Adams 14 Education Foundation is here to support you. Review the details below for eligibility of each scholarship.

Criteria

  1. Rock Your School Colors: Attend Adams City High School or Lester Arnold High School – we're looking for our Adams 14  heroes!
     
  2. Spread the Good Vibes: Show us your superhero cape! Whether it's service to community, church or family and/or school involvement such as student government or athletics – we want to see your impact!
     
  3. Academic Interests: Commitment to academic excellence is your superpower!  Show us what you are interested in.
     
  4. Money Talk: PELL eligibility? Not a deal-breaker for all, but check page 3 for specific scholarships. It might be a game-changer for some of them!
     
  5. Grade Point Average: Aim for the stars with a GPA of 2.75 or higher. Exceptions? You betcha! Your scholarship will still get reviewed, no matter what!
     
  6.  Paperwork Party: Complete the application like a pro.  Make sure to include items from the list below:
  • Essays (more details coming up).
  • Recommendation letter (letter should address reasons student shows promise including academic achievement and service, and how a scholarship would encourage him/her to pursue their educational goals).  Please email your recommendation letters to jgold@adams14.org.
  • School transcript.
  • FASFA Report.  We understand that reports are delayed, please provide an estimate if you do not have your report yet.
  • Parental income proof – in form of W-2, 1099, or 1st page of 2022 Federal Tax Return.

One on One: A personal interview awaits – bring along your acceptance letter.  We're checking out your leadership skills, community service, personal and professional wins, unique qualities, financial need, and, of course, your academics - it's your chance to shine! 

Commerce City Rotary Scholarship

The Commerce City Rotary/Adams 14 Education Foundation awards a $3,000 annual scholarship each year for up to 4 years for a total of $1,500 per semester to a student attending an accredited 4-year institution and/or awards a $1,500 annual scholarship each year for 2 years for a total of $750 per semester to a student attending an accredited vocational institution. This scholarship supports a student in the from the Adams 14 School District who can show financial need and who demonstrates a degree of community involvement. Two scholarships are available each year and the Commerce City Rotary/Adams 14 Education Foundation Scholarship Committee awards these scholarships.

Criteria

  • Applicant must attend and be a full-time student at Adams City or Lester Arnold
  • Applicant must be a graduating senior or receive a GED during the spring of the current school year
  • Applicant must have a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Applicant must intend to enroll in a 2 or 4 years accredited institution of higher learning or accredited vocational school
  • Applicant must show what school they are attending and letter of acceptance at the time of the formal interview
  • The applicant will be selected by, but not limited to, the following considerations:
    • leadership and community service
    • personal and professional accomplishments
    • personal attributes
    • financial need
    • academic performance

Deadline

All applications must be turned in to your counselor by March 11, 2024.  Interviews will be held the week of March 25.  Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 4, 2024.

Scholarship Award Night - 14er Fest

 All scholarship recipients are cordially invited and must attend the Education Foundation’s annual dinner “The 14er Fest” on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the DoubleTree Hotel Denver, 3203 Quebec St. Denver, CO 80207 to have their achievements recognized.
